How do I bid in the auction?

To bid on items in the auction, you must register and be approved as a bidder.  To register to bid, please visit our auction site https://southtownsauctions.hibid.com/
Once there click on the "login/new bidder" link at the top of the page.
Click on "register here" to register and create an account.
Once you create an account and are approved as a bidder, you can register for individual auctions and start to bid!

I want to sell some things!  Can I sell them at your auctions?

If you would like us to sell your items for you, please contact us directly.  All consignment requests are reviewed individually.  Consignment fee will be discussed and a contract is required.

Do you offer shipping?

Yes, we do!
Most items are available for shipping, but look for the truck image and "shipping available" note on each auction listing to be sure.  If it's not noted with "shipping available" then it cannot be shipped and must be picked up locally (Orchard Park, NY).
Items NOT available to ship include (but not limited to): Large electronics (TV's), oversized items, heavy freight (generators, safes)

Who pays for shipping/is shipping cost included in my bid?

The winning bidder/buyer pays for shipping.
Shipping costs are NOT included in your bid.  Shipping cost is additional.

How much does shipping cost?

For estimated shipping costs for a particular item prior to bidding, please contact us directly.
If you win an auction item (or multiple items), you will be notified in a separate email with the shipping cost.  We work hard to find the best price for you!

Do you ship internationally?

We currently offer shipping to all 50 US states, Puerto Rico and Canada.

How do I pick up items I won?

Each auction ends on a Monday with pick up on Friday or Saturday.
Specific auction pick up date is listed under "auction details" for each auction and each item.  The pick up date will also be on the invoice email you receive after winning an item(s).

I cannot make the pick-up day, can I set up an alternate pick-up day?

We understand life happens!  Please contact us by phoneemail or here if you have extenuating circumstances and cannot make the pick up day(s).

I am unhappy with my purchase, can I return it?

All auction items are sold as-is and are final sale.
We do our absolute best to take photos of any defects of product or boxes so you know exactly what you are buying.
We will also note in the listing description if the item was unboxed or tested.

What should I do if I have a tax exemption?

If you are a registered business with New York State and will be re-selling items you purchase, please email your New York State ST-120 Form (can be found here) to Southtowns Auctions.
